Piers Morgan has hit out at those criticising Arsenal for allowing Aaron Ramsey to join Juventus in a free transfer, insisting the Gunners wont miss him as much as people think.Ramsey will end his 11-year stay with the north London club this summer, having agreed to join the Italian champions when his Arsenal contract expires.The move has surprised many, especially given his prominent role in Unai Emerys team, with the club facing criticism for letting another of their top players leave for nothing.1

The 28-year-old has made 35 appearances for the Gunners this season, scoring four goals and providing eight assists.But Morgan says the anti-Arsenal clamour surrounding Ramseys exit is ridiculous and insists they will not miss the midfielder next season.Aaron Ramsey reminds me of Olivier Giroud – theyre both very good footballers, but honestly we havent missed Giroud at all since he left and I dont think were going to miss Ramsey anything like the way people keep going on about it, he told Friday’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.The truth is, Ramsey for the last few years has been a perfectly good player in the team, but under Emery he hasnt started that many games. Recently hes started playing well because hes got his big deal and good luck to him. Hes been a good servant to the team.But Ramsey has been part of the least successful Arsenal team over a decade-long period that weve probably ever had.So lets get things in perspective.We need world class players to come in. I think weve got some in the team.Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are beginning to show that theyre pretty formidable as a forward duo, Mesut Ozil is world class when he fancies it but doesnt fancy it enough, and I think were seeing some of the other come through as well.
